Our Publications

Fiction

At CLÀR, we are dedicated to publishing exceptional contemporary Gaelic fiction. Our aim is to deliver captivating new stories that resonate with our readers. We believe in highlighting various themes and topics that hold significance for our Gaelic readership. We are dedicated to collaborating with both new and established Gaelic fiction writers, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents. Readers trust that when they choose a publication from CLÀR they will be provided with engaging stories and quality writing.

Poetry

CLÀR has published several collections of poetry over the years. As there were a number of poets waiting to have their work published, CLÀR decided to dedicate 2023 to the publication of poetry. 100 Bliadhna de Bhàird a’ Chomuinn was launched at the Mod to commemorate 100 years of the Bardic Crown. In the pipeline are collections from Deborah Moffatt, Niall O’Gallagher and Rody Gorman.

Non-fiction

At CLÀR, our commitment to the promotion of Gaelic language and culture extends beyond fiction. We are proud to offer a diverse and thought-provoking selection of non-fiction texts that shed light on various aspects of our rich heritage.

Our non-fiction collection spans a wide range of subjects, from history and folklore to language preservation and contemporary accounts. We aim to provide readers with access to well-researched, informative, and engaging materials that explore the intricacies of Gaelic culture, language, and history.
